HOLY SHIT THAT WAS CLOSE.

I was reading the news and I clicked on a link that I thought was in regards to the ending of the Harry Potter publishing phenomenon and I came this close to scrolling over a review of the book that the newspaper had gotten early.

I thought I was being careful, but I think I need to be more careful, no?

I keep going into fits of convulsions when I hear about the Seventh Book.

I wasn't really worried about spoilers and whatnot until today. It's all over the place! Spoiler communities, rumors, people supposedly posting pages of the book, leaking the chapter names, creating LJ's with spoiler names and friending people to piss them off... It's ridiculous!

I'm not sure what to expect on tomorrow, let alone Friday or Saturday. I'm considering ducking out for the next few days, but maybe just being cautious will be enough.

Some wierd college student should do a study on this...actually, I'm sure there is, somewhere.

It was kinda surprising; the sixth book was really easy to avoid spoilers, but for this one, they're popping out everywhere!

It was weird, I'll say that. I usually don't care if I'm spoiled, but I'm trying my damn hardest to stay unspoiled for this! ;) Change for me!

Yikes, people keep getting spoiled in random places!! I think I'll duck and hide tomorrow.

I know! I almost got spoiled by a political blog because some jerk was posting spoilers in the comments!

I read the NY Times review. I don't think that counts as spoiling myself, since I typically read reviews before purchasing a book, especially a hardcover. It mentioned a couple of plot points, didn't give any specifics.

The link I clicked on was linked to The Sun? A UK tabloid? Among the things it boasted was the answers to what happens in the ending; I think the NYT one is probably way more vague. I say, though, I was REALLY tempted to scroll down and look to see who had died.
