Really, now. This BPAL business is going too far. Self, you must stop obsessively checking the forums and ebay to find the perfect scents. Self, you must stop buying those scents. Self, why are you acting like this? Huh? Huh?

That said... I think I'm going to start putting up little reviews; I have a very specific format that I write reviews for BPAL scents, and it would be a pity not to share. And mean, too. And I'm not mean. No. Of course not. ;)

I think this is payback for all the times I resisted buying something at Animate. Yes. That must be it. =)

Let's see... hey, you know It Started With a Kiss is the kind of Taiwanese manga-based drama I LOVE. Total rec here. The two protagonists are cute as buttons and I promise, promise, promise that the bad acting is to the minimum. I wince a bit at the way they pronounce things, but since most of you would be understanding it through subtitles, I don't think it would bother most of you at all! It's romantic and funny and sweet and there were a few times I actually cried cause nothing (and I mean NOTHING) gets me like unrequited love and this just has buckets and buckets of it.

Taiwanese manga-based drama's can be really hit-or-miss and this is a definite hit. ♥

I absolutely loved It Started With A Kiss! Have you had a chance to see Devil Beside You yet? I'm about halfway through and it's great. I think it's daddicts Chinese series of the month now--check it out if you have the chance!

Yeah, I've been waffling about "Devil Besides You" because I wasn't so fond of the manga... but with how well "It Started with a Kiss" went for me, I'm going to dl it and see!

I'm just a bit worried it'll go the same route for me, as it went with the Meteor Garden road. Meteor Garden was great and then I saw a bunch of other adaptation on the heels of it and they weren't so great. ISWAK was wonderful because it was so funny and it balanced the angst of unrequited love with the hilarity of the situation... oh man. I can't wait for number 2 to come out!

I'll be in Japan until next July! Depends on your dates; a friend of mine is coming to Japan at the same time, but the thing is that we'll probably want to hit Tokyo one of the weekends and if it falls on the same weekend, awesome! I can come to Tokyo on weekends, but weekdays are out. ;_;

?? You mean September? If so, yeah, I can come meet you Saturday night, take you out for dinner (if you're not completely exhausted!) and then we can browse Tokyo during Sunday! Depending on what you want to do, we can go to different areas! Ikebukuro is where the doujinshi and stuff are concentrated while Akiba has all the electronics and vaguely geeky, nonmainstream stuff. Ginza: big, glittering metropolis of glass and money, Roppongi is where the rich asshole foreigners hang out (and thus, where the clubbing is), Shinjuku is the busy shopping district, Harajuku is where the fruits fashion is, etc. etc. I'm not a tour guide, but I can get us around. Mostly. ;)

How much Japanese do either of you know? A lot of people speak English in Tokyo, but it can be pretty confusing, especially when you encounter the train system for the first time.
