demeter918I just watched episode 108 of Naruto.
... okay teacher. Your student just watched two of her best friends nearly kill each other and you tell her that everything will be back to the old times soon. That's it? You spend so much time on Sasuke and Naruto - do you have any idea what that's doing to Sakura? She's watching everything fall apart and the only thing she can do is smile at Naruto. Have we seen Kakashi interact with Sakura since Sasuke and Naruto fought on that hospital rooftop?

This sensei, who thinks of others first, is not thinking of Sakura. Sure, Tsunade is now teaching Sakura, but where in the hell was Kakashi during this? Sakura found her own way. Sakura found her own teacher. Sakura opened her mouth to ask Tsunade. Sakura made her own choice and who knows what it was like to be sitting in that village while her three teammates are off killing and trying to kill. Yeah, I really loved the Sasuke/Naruto arc (and woot, that gave a lot of plot bunnies for Sasuke/Naruto fans. *g*) but once again: where was Sakura?
Yeah, yeah - it's not her story. It never was her story. It's about Naruto and Sasuke and the male genin. They're so cool. They're so awesome. They kick ass. *twitch* I'd better stop before I piss myself off. It's lucky I love Neji; otherwise there wouldn't be any genin I particularly like. Well. Maybe Shino. But that's cause he's awesomely weird.
Coming back to Sakura. I hope I'm not the only one who was supremely disappointed with how that scene went in the anime. This isn't her story but Kakashi is her sensei. Nothing will change that. And unfortunately, he's done a piss-poor job. I love the man, but I wouldn't mind kicking his arse sometimes.

I love Sakura and am now wanting to write more and more fic on her. *huggles Sakura and Akito*

And then, apparently, it's going to do a three year time jump into the future. So they'll all be around fifteen/sixteen.
