Am so HAPPY!

*evil, evil, evil laughter* Of course you're disappointed Dubya. You LOSE.
It made me cry, just a little. Was actually a little afraid, but maybe it really isn't as bad it always seemed to be. And it helped that when I told my brother (who, while not homophobic, is certainly not going to dance all happy if Snape and Remus get it on) he shrugged and said "good for them". But yeah. It's obvious that this isn't over and if Bush gets another term in office, there will be more danger. Kerry is not the greatest choice in the world, but his rationality and sheer worthiness compared to Bush makes him someone I say needs to win for this country to make it past its current rut. I'm not saying that the US is going to implode with Bush as its president (let's be practical, shall we?) but we'll be a heck lot worse off if he has dubious control for four more years.
So. If you're not registered to vote, register. Be sure to actually vote on election day. I'd say vote for Kerry, but if you're absolutely sure you want Bush, I'm not about to rail on you. Unless you want to be railed at; if that, then I'll rail away!
Anyway - *kicks cable* Our cable was down so all I could do was massively reply to posts that were days late in actual count. Dubious apologies to those who thought I was either weirdly unaffected by time or was an awfully slow reader.
*cheerful* Birthday in a week. Let me enjoy how it feels to be twenty-one and then laugh at me as I drag my dehydrated arse in and moan about how terribly alcohol is. And it's going to be true, since I've drank before (one the rare, rare occasion) and am not at all pleased with it. Maybe I'm boring. XD
I am desperate to see Eerie Queerie 3 because the stupid bookstores pulled them off the shelves due to 'publishing problems'. Apparently, the series is getting a new license (or something) and all the old ones are taken off the shelves while they redistribute it. Argh. Just as I was planning to get the third one too. le sigh. And I'll probably miss Demon Ororon 3 because I'm in Shanghai for the next two months. CURSES!
In good news, I received a postcard from Kinokuniya Bookstores informing me that the rest of Yami no Matsuei is waiting patiently for me and when will I be going in to pick them up? Score for me! I've been waiting for literally weeks now and finally, I can melt my hot hands over the glossy covers.
There are plans for me to visit Hong Kong and Taiwan after classes are done at the end of August, so maybe I'll pick up a box or two of manga. >_< Yes. I think I shall. It's been my dream to go back since being in Taiwan in... 1999? I think that was it, and I loved it so, so, so much. Anime, manga, you name it. While English translations are alright, sometimes I feel they lack something. Spirit, maybe. I don't know how to describe it exactly, but reading it in Chinese... there's a lot more depth. Maybe it's just because I'm used to reading manga with Chinese characters. *wrinkles nose* Probably. BIASED!
Guess who got Excel Saga: IMperfect Collection? Me! It was one sale for 69.99, and I got ten bucks off of that because of a gift certificate. One of the zaniest animes out there for only sixty bucks! Am also eventually planning to get Heat Guy J. I watched part of it from the local anime rental shop, and egad; it's so pretty and pretty and pretty. It's a little silly at times, and the antagonist is ineffectual... but omg! Teh PRETTINESS! And I'm not talking so much about the men as the animation style and the OMG! backgrounds.
=P
Still pounding - no pun intended - away at that Shigure/Akito fic...
EDIT
I've been reading through my flist and cripes, there's been some interesting stuff going on regarding Voldemort. Very interesting debates, if I may cautiously inject a personal comment. :)
It makes me want to tackle the portrayal of females in Harry Potter again by the way. Perhaps my love for the HP fandom isn't as dying as I thought it was. I think it was in hiding for a little while. Makes me want to reach for good gen fics.
Actually, I've discovered that I really, really, really love gen. I mean heck. I could live on gen. And angst. And oh, what the hell. Romance too. Fic gives me inspiration in real life. ^_^ That sounds a little pathetic, but darn it, it's true.
Akito is pretty. I had to mention him.
