I had linked up Destiny as a link of interest on the User Bio page, and in my incredible lack of attention, I overLOOKED THESE!!
I know I promised fic recs next, but these seem to be a bigger necessity.
Which isn't out yet, but since chapters of manga are released one after the other before they're compiled into one volume, I'm not terribly surprised. However, it also means we'll be getting 15... soon. Very soon. *bites fingernails*
I almost fainted when I saw these scans. Why? Because I think this is the very first instance we see of a sane Akito. He's not plotting, he's not smirking, he's not laughing oddly, he's not posessive... he's just a little boy who wants to play with another little boy. And that little boy happened to be Yuki.
Shigure holds a young Akito My favourite scan. Hands down. When I get my greedy little hands on V.15, I'm scanning that page at least three times. >_< It seems like at one point, Shigure and Akito were inseparable. That Shigure was constantly at Akito's side and was a common sight. There seems to be... a bit of something there. >_< And it looks like the Shigure/Akito theories might not be far off.
Cute young Akito. It says a lot. He looks innocent and just, well, surprised. As if he's surprised that someone had come to visit him.
Akito is just beautiful here. Gentle. Kind. A mature child. This is a surprising picture. For me at least, because I wasn't expecting the author to get into Akito's past for a while. But she HAS!!
Akito smiles at Yuki and Yuki cries. Something about Akito's warm, gentle smile causes tears in Yuki's (I hope that's Yuki anyways) eyes. Is it because Akito is Yuki's god, and the warmth causes an automatic worship in Yuki? Perhaps. But no matter what, Akito doesn't look anything like the sadistic monster he's portrayed as in earlier chapters.
Akito hugs Yuki. A very touching picture. And it bodes ill for being a flashback.
Akito and Yuki talking. Does that not look like a slumber party? And it seems like Akito is telling Yuki about the Juunishi. Something about servants and god. And how they're special to each other. This also seems to be the time that Yuki starts living with Akito.
The first inkling we have of Akito's temper. He yells at Yuki for coughing (and we know Yuki has medical problems). In the following scan, Akito seems to be shocked by his own words, and so does Yuki. It's one of those tense silences where everything seems to have tipped a tad bit too far to the left or right.
And Akito finally goes mad. This is the familiar Akito we've seen in previous volumes. And he's talking about Yuki's mom. I think he's saying that the only reason Yuki was there was because his mom forced him to be there, and that she had abandoned him. That they were only there for him because they were his 'servants' and that it was a necessity. *shakes head* I really want to know what Akito's saying, but I only can understand bits and pieces of it.
More madness. It seems like Akito is telling Yuki that he has to be there and that no one cares for him. He's saying that his mother is using Yuki as a tool, and that the rat is just a tool. Um. Whoa.
And even more! Akito's telling Yuki that he has no worth, that he had no reason to exist other than as his servant.
The world is dark. Akito basically tells Yuki that the world is dark and that there is no light. I think he's also meaning that Yuki will forever be trapped there, and that for the rest of his life, he'll live in darkness. Just. Like. Akito. 0_0 (That last bit is my own addition)
And nothing will ever change. Until Shigure came along and took Yuki away of course. And then Tohru lit up his sky *sparkles* and Yuki left the dark while Akito is still there.
I think I'll be ruminating on this for a while.

Date: 2004-05-30 06:48 pm (UTC)Anywyas, Akito's all skin and bones as it is. I think sexual gratification would pretty much kill him. Poor boy; I wish I could Sue-myself and go in to LURVE him. *grin* Yep. In the case of Akito, I'd like to SUE-MYSELF! XDXDXDXD
Kyo is like the one. And at the end of V.14, it hints that the 'one true pairing' is not Yuki/Tohru, but Kyo/Tohru.
