Akito-lurve

demeter918I uploaded the pictures from Sakura-Con to my computer, but am still in the process of writing out the post that will describe my experience. To the dot. 0_0
Long Denied was updated with part 21, and we get the details of the curse! In her world at least; the mutually parasitic relationship made me swoon, and I can't help but wait impatiently for the next part. I'm dying to read the different reactions to Akito dying, and just how - specifically - Shigure will react. Through the entire story, it's hinted at that there's something unusual - though not necessarily sexual - between the two, and Shigure is possibly the only person - besides Kureno perhaps, but Kureno would never dream of defying Akito - who can somewhat manipulate the great manipulator.
I'm rather fond of the whole idea of Akito dying, though I love him to pieces, and would rather wish for eternal happiness than a gloomy, futureless existence that of which he currently plods through. But the fact is that he knows he's dying. He's dying, dying, dying, and he knows it. I shivered all over as he ordered Hiro and Kisa - after apologizing to her, in a way that was so Akito, it didn't seem the least bit cheesy - to find the others, because he wanted his family with him for his last moments. I just wanted to cry because he's this sadistic, terrifying, horribly scarred child who's frightened of being alone, and would tolerate no pity... and all he wants as he's dying is his family. I just cried buckets and buckets.
Ayame's reaction in chapter 20, says it all; though many of them are frightened of Akito, and perhaps will never like him, they love him in an unfathomable way that's almost impossible to fully comprehende.
So the next part. >_< Akito-love! Akito-love! Akito-love!
