I don't think about Harry Potter much anymore, but lately, I've been reading fic again, and wandering around various fannish sites. And I joined the ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
percy_ficathon (JOIN!) in my first attempt in a long time to write a proper HP fic.
And then, I was on Wikipedia and I saw a small entry about Marietta Edgecombe and it reminded me of what had happened in Order of the Phoenix. How she gave them up to Umbridge and how the retaliation played out. And not too surprisingly, I felt rather harsh toward Harry and Hermione. Yeah, she betrayed them.
... branding her face with pustules that say SNEAK in the event that she broke her word, though?
Yeah.
I'd forgotten just how much I despised the D.A. in the fifth book. And how much I loathed fifth year!Trio. And just how much so many characters in this particular book just made me grit my teeth. Harry? Check. Hermione? Check. Fred and George? Check. Ginny? Check. (Ginny made me just cry because I'd liked her so much before the fifth one!) The Weasley family in general excluding Percy, Bill, and Charlie? Check. Draco? Check. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? I DON'T REMEMBER DISLIKING THE FIFTH BOOK THIS MUCH WHEN I FIRST READ IT!!!!!!1111
