The last week has been incredibly busy and I spent only two hours last night sleeping because I was trying to finish so much crap before I leave.
;_;
My flight's today at 2:45 and I'll probably be non-communicable for a few days. I'm not sure how available the net will be in Tokyo, but there will be three days of orientation there before we split up into our respective prefectures and officially start our jobs.
It looks like that it'll definitely be a few weeks before I have a reliable network to connect to. I need my Alien Registration Card before they can activate my phone line (which I've already bought).
I bought books for the first few months; the Kushiel books several people recced, the beginning of the Assassin's series, the first Anita Blake book, "The Historian", "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell", and a few others. Thanks to those who recced!
Hm... other than that, I don't think there's anything else. On a side note, happy birthday to me!
