May. 11th, 2005 12:20 amIt's been a while since I've gorged on Harry Potter fic, and let me say one really good thing about the fandom.
There's plenty of really good fic. Sometimes I despair in a fandom where my favored pairings are considerably smaller next to the 'main' pairings and I run out of reading material after one or two marathons (Rikku/Auron from FFX and Kakashi/Sakura from Naruto come to mind). With HP, it's almost endless. I can go from journal to journal and read what other people rec and it's almost hard to run out of fic. Yeah, for some of the more obscure pairings it can get somewhat difficult to find well-written fic, but considering the fandoms propensity for crack pairings and writing them well... I'm never kept long from good fic.
For someone who easily moves on from one thing to the next (I went out on Harry/Draco today. Yesterday was Snape/Lupin. Haha, it's a disease), this is a good thing. =P
But the good genfics still make me melt into messy piles of contentment. XD
