Who is a wonderful, wonderful friend. *sniffle*
My application to JET was sent out Saturday by Express. The nightmare concerning that should be one day recorded in the absurdity of how it happened. I expressed it on Friday, when fifteen minutes later, I realized I had forgotten something incredibly important. Yes, copies of my passport which became a newly-added requirement for 2005. In a panic, I drove back to the post office to beg for it back, but they'd already sent it out. I actually burst into tears inside and was sobbing outside because I thought that was the end. But I actually straightened myself up and went back inside. I refused to let it end that way; that was kind of new. Hm. Well, they looked kind of worried since I was teetering on the edge of a breakdown, but a very nice woman (who has now renewed my faith in the US postal system) made several phone calls to their office at the airport and managed to intercept my mail. They sent it back and on Saturday morning, I went there with all the correct documents, opened my mail (*sobs in relief*), and realized that there was a second thing I had forgotten; the order I was supposed to organize the documents in.
Imagine my relief. This was tooclose for comfort.
But =) everything is cool now. I hope. Now I just wait for the call for the interview in January. That means I've passed the first wall.
Thanksgiving was wonderful. Belated news, but *g*. I'm always late with news.
There's a lot of crap going on in Alabama. I bet most of you already know. If you don't, just surf my flist. The point will come across pretty darn quickly. Just don't puke when you read what's going on in that blasted state. I feel awful for the people living there. Well, awful for the half that voted to have racist language removed from the consitution. The other half; maybe your children will be slightly smarter than you are.
After some thought on it (lots and lots and lots), I've decided to put up a Christmas Wish List. Why? Well, because I thought it would be a great time to bully Akito fic/art out of some of you. And a few material items since who doesn't want to latest manga? *g*
I'm looking at Newtype and Animerica for all my inspiration. =) I may even ask for Snape/Lupin or Snape/Draco fic.
