altar_of_akito today before lunch and they're this dark pink with black and white printing (hey, I'm poor). There's a small LJ-ish picture of Akito: THE "Death Glare" and then a little blurb regarding the Altar plus the URL address. It's rather pretty, if I say so myself, and I'm not even very good at designing these things. Not to mention it's my first time to become so into the idea of doing something like this. I'm actually somewhat tempted to make one for Relena now, but I figure that's moot point, especially since I'll be wearing a lot of pink over the weekend. *glee*
But yes! I'll be handing them out to people over the weekend, hopefully to garner some more members and support for the Altar.
Double-yay for Akito!
Secondly, I finally gritted my teeth and purchased a kimono. Yes. An actual kimono with an obi and everything. I decided not to get the clogs because, well, I'd trip all over them and my feet would be seriously hurting at the con. So I'll stick to sandals. Not entirely authentic, but hey - it's more than I've ever dressed up for a convention.
I'm bringing a lot of pink clothing, as aforementioned. Must support pink. *more glee*
Since this is the weekened before elections, I'm bringing some of my paraphenilia - not too overt, since I don't want to ruin the mood, but my "Republicans for Voldemort" t-shirt and sticker, my pins for Kerry/Edwards and the pin for "vote or die". Maybe a couple of other things.
Will bring yaoi manga and gifts. XD
Now must RUN! GACK!
EDIT - one last thing - I'm glad to find out BEFORE the con that cash is more welcome than credit cards. Otherwise: screwed.
